US Army - Choosing Company..?

I read this somewhere on here...

Not all of your passes will be weekend passes, in the beginning of AIT you might get a few hours on post, and closer to the end, you might get a weekend pass off post. It all depends on your company.

Now if it all depends on your company, what decides which company I get?
Like is there anything I can do to get a better Company or what? Are they all the same or?

You go where they send you. If Charlie Company has a bed open, that's where you go. Period. End of discussion.

Your ship date will determine which company you land in for IET and AIT.

It doesn't really matter though. You won't get much time off in either.

Once you are at a permanent party unit, your schedule will be normalized.
