my brother got arrested for smoking pot in a trailer park in his car. he didn't go to jail, but they still arrested him. the cops forgot to get him to sign the papers agreeing to him being guilty. they called his phone asking to please go to the station and sign them. he tried to bargain with them and told them he would sign if they took the part about smoking off the charges. if he didn't sign the cops would b in deep sh*t. the cops said if he didn't sign them, they would put a warrant out for his arrest. were they lying and can they really do that if it was their mistake not getting him to sign, or can they really do that.
he doesn't have a license. and they didn't say the "you're under arrest, anything you say may and will be used against you in court" explaining your rights line.
the papers he signed was the sheriff sayin what happened, them giving him the court date, and it had my brothers name and adress.
