basically myself and my family decided to move out of our current house to somewhere bigger as our landlord was planing to increase the monthly rent. as soon as he was aware of this he sent a text notice to my mum and this was a month ago saying we have to vacate the place by saturday. (today if friday)
Alot of things i have heard state that he isn't allowed to this and i have been reading on this subject but i am completely confused and worried.
he has been round to my house harassing my mum and talking to her like she is some low life, this is a woman old enough to be his mother, he has no respect whatsoever for us. he has threaten to come get the key of us tomorrow and i just need help explaining the uk law.
does he have the right to do so or do we still have right to stay till we get a new place.

I thought landlords had to give 6 months notice before evicting their tenants.

I'm not entirely sure but thats whats happened to my sister about a month ago and she read up on it and they said that she should have been given a 6 month warning.

Anyway i hop i helped a bit :) x

No, he doesn't have a right to do this. You and your mother are entitled to compensation for his illegal behaviour. Go and see Citizens Advice. If necessary, they will alert the police.
