Upon buying a car and getting my licence plates how do i add my mom for insurance

when the court had my title? When i got my car i just bought it off my grandparents's friend and i thought i had to instantly get my licence plates or a temp sticker, i went for the licence plates and i forgot to add my mom to the title for insurance purposes and the court took my title i had handed to me so they can send me a new one, how can i get my mom added before the new on is shipped out because until i get my mom added my new car is un-insured
