Apparently now I need to upgrade my Verizon Internet Security Suite at this link:

and when I get to Step 5, I click Run and then it opens a window saying Launch Application. And it says "This link needs to be opened with an application" and below is a box where it says to "Choose an Application" but I don't know what application I should even choose. So anyone could help me it would really be appreciated since I rather not call Verizon AGAIN and have to ask about another problem about this.
And another question is that whenever I try to open Internet Explorer or something, the same thing comes up so if anyone ever had this could you give me some advice on how to fix this. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
