upgrade help

can someone (preferably a tmo rep) explain how the whole upgrade thing works because I looked online and tmo has the curve for for $249.99 but then I went through the upgrade link and it cost $449 this doesn't make sense to me, its almost as if the penalize me for being a tmo customer but a new customer can walk in off the street and get it for $200 less, I don't understand
 
How long have you been on your two year contract, because to be eligible, you need to have at least 11 months of service to get a discount on an upgrade.
 
you actually only have to be with tmobile for one month to get some discount on an upgrade... but remember the two or one year starts all over again...

EDIT: what i would say is to call Tmobile costumer care the number is 1-800-937-8997 and ask them how much it would be if u upgrade good luck!!
 
always CALL !!! neva upgrade online or at a store!!!!

i upgraded to the curve from the pearl over the phone and i only paid 250
and i jus got my pearl in march ... but ihave been with tmobile since 2002 ..they take care of u TRUST ME!!
 
so i know this it's really late to reply but am a t-mobile rep. to get the full discount if you signed a two year contract you have to wait 22 months for a fullo discount, if you use your partial discount half way through the year they won't offer you any discount at all until you have fulfilled the 22 months. customer care has alot more access to helping save customers and discounting prices. please don't get mad at the stores we do all we can, but customer care is just allowed to do more. one thing customers should keep in mind; if you are fully qualified for a discount signing a one year contract instead of a 2 year contract is only $50.00 more and then you can get the discount every 11 months, if you switch phones alot, 1 year contracts are the best option.
 
good call kamaunu...paying that $50 to get out of a year of your contract...sweet deal and better if you like the latest and greatest seeing as how every 6 months or so new bada$$ phones are always coming out...can this be done through CS rep also?
 
why not a store? as long as yo go to a crporate store you'll get treated well, i know if you are eligible fdor a discount and it's not showing w'll call and make sure that gets fixed and upgrade it in store for you for the correct price, the only thing we can't do is honor pricing from the save department because they have to keep track of the different saves they've done.



but anyways what was you outcome?!?!?
 
i live next to a corporate store and i was gonna upgrade...luckily my brother is joining T-Mo and the pearl has everything he needs...so i'm getting a new curve2 (HOORAY!)...anyways...i've only been with T-Mo for 4 months and i was elligible for $100 dollars off the new curve to re-extend my contract to 2-years again...i was about to do it too...may still try to see if i can know off a year from the contract for $50 dollars tho
