upgrade E70-2 firmware?

so I just got my e70-2 and LOVE it. I'm having a few tiny problems though...

ONLY when I'm on my school WLAN, the phone sometimes restarts itself when connecting to this network. I've connected to probably ~15 WLANs since i've gotten the phone and this is the only network that does this...weird!! (would new firmware even fix this?)

my old v3 razr could recognize my bluetooth headset, but the e70 cannot. The e70 can recognize computers and random people's stuff though...maybe headset is just broke??

Some of the applications/Symbian in general run a tiny bit slow from time to time, but this isn't a really big deal...would latest firmware fix this?

and last, I sometimes get the "memory low" error in the web browser, but usually only when i have images activated, which i'd greatly prefer since it makes browsing way better....firmware fix or no?

I currently have firmware 1.0610.05.07 30-05-06 RM-24

Thanks guys!

The firmware update fixes a LOT of stuff somewhere on this forum there is a changelog, the WLAN feature is a lot more stable, there is about 2 MB's more memory so web browsing is a much better experience, don't know about the bluetooth fix.

I would highly recommend doing the firmware update.

OK sounds good, I'm just REALLY worried about bricking the phone as I've read some horror stories on here. I have a fresh install of windows XP pro to work with. I should be fine as long as I follow the directions exactly, right?

does the phone's memory/settings get erased in the process?

oh and last- i'm ordering a mini-SD card, what is the max for the e70? 2gb or 4gb?

thanks!

The latest version for the E70-2 (product code 0516774) is 2.0618.07.10 as of 15 jan 2007

You can check at this web page. http://www.europe.nokia.com/A4305060

I expect a version 3 firmware to be available very soon as it is already available for many S60v3 phones.

Yes, the memory gets erased. You can try using the backup/restore functionality, however it is dodgy. It's almost better to start from a clean slate and simply reinstall your apps and configs.

I know for a fact that a 2GB memory card works fine - I've been using a Sandisk 2GB card for a while. Don't know about 4GB.
