I have a 98 right now which hasn't had too many problems..it used to die at red lights but we got that fixed.. It leaks oil which caused me to get a new motor mount.. i've had to replace the tires and cv joints... these are the only problems we've had with it (we got it when it was new) and it now has 208,000+ miles on it. I'm considering purchasing a 2002 protege with 96,000 miles on it at around $6,000. Now that all those details are out of the way my question really gets down to.. Will the 02 end up causing me more problems than my 98 in the long run? Are they made just as good? Better? Worse?.. Just curious
