Hi all hope you guys are having great days. Awhile I ago I asked for prayers for my mom. She has osteoporosis and had several fractures in her back. I am happy to report that I convinced her to see my PM and have Kyphoplasty. That is a procedure where the fill the fractures in with cement. She had it done Tuesday and when we got there her pain was a 8.5 and before we left the asked her about pain level and she said a 2. I talked to her earlier and she said she hardly had any pain at all and she has been using her walker instead of her power chair to get around. This is a huge improvement and in my opinion a small miracle!! So thanks to everyone who kept her in their prayers!! Between the prayers and my Pm I really think we got a miracle. Take Care All, Dee:)

That is fantastic!! You must be feeling so relieved. I will continue to pray for your Mom and pray that she continues recovering so well.

Thank you Diet, I am sort of in awe of how well that went. My poor mom was so scared she was shaking. I was afraid she was going to chicken out at the last minute but she was a trooper. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have my pain level at a 2---I am also a tad jealous. She wanted me to tell everyone that even though it was scary she highly recommended the procedure. She is walking straighter and faster than she has in years.

thank you both. I an very happy for her. She was in a lot of pain--I guess 4 fractured vertebrae will do that for you. She really likes to be on the go so its good that she can be a little more independent.

Dee what wonderful news for your Mother and I can hear it in your worRAB that you are very happy for her too. She is very lucky to have a daughter like you. I will continue to keep both you and your Mother in my prayers for continued success and for better days ahead for you also.

Wonderful News!! I am so happy for your Mom. I am so glad the procedure helped her so much. My prayers are with with her and you.

Take care, Nadine:)

I am so glad to hear this news. You mama must be so proud to have a daughter like you. I am a mother myself so I know how much it means to me when my kiRAB are so carrying and loving.
This is unbelivable; she deserved to have some relieave after all the pain she leaved in. I am glad that they had something to help her with. The worse when they say sorry nothing we can do.
So maybe now with being under PM care they can offer her some other treatments and pain releavers...

The best luck to all of you and your mother...
With love, Moldova

Thank you Moldova and Marywoo!! I try to be a good daughter-hard sometimes but I have almost lost my mom a couple of times and I realize that the time we have together is short and I pray that its quality time. It really is good to have her back to her old self and not in pain. I had one heck of a time convincing her to do that treatment!! She was pretty scared to have anything done to her back. I think she thought it was a surgical thing and once I told her it was done with needles she said ok but still very afraid.
