Prologue
I didn’t know why, or how I had gotten super powers, but since my 15th birthday, my life has been altered utterly and completely. I had been training in martial arts and with a katana, one of the deadliest swords ever created by the samurai. That used to be just for fun, but now, I’ve had to make use of my skills in multiple situations. Over the course of the following year, I’ve somewhat gotten a hold of my powers. I have saved multiple lives. I even saved an officer from an oncoming bullet that would’ve pierced his abdomen. But, no one can know I am here. I’d be hunted down and found out if I appeared to the public as myself.
So, instead of revealing my identity, I’ve kept a ruse of my normal persona, going to school and doing the things I have done throughout my whole life. But, unlike before, I feel detached, unable to fit in. I live my life for others, and in doing so, I have been unable to live myself. So, I have decided, I’m leaving the home that has held me back all this time. I have no choice, and I can’t look back. I’m leaving for New York, tonight, and no one and nothing can stop me.
