Hi all, went to the Hospital for special surgeries yesterday in NYC. Met a terrific doctor, Dr. Farmer who explained my situation his way. My NJ doctor wants to perform a 360 fusion and disc replacement but Dr. Farmer told me he can do it from only the front without opening up my back. It seems it's a fairly new procedure and many doctors don't do it. He also explained that my nerves are not really pressing on my leg nerves. Therefore he suggested that my disc, which is totally gone, is leaking into my spine and causing leg and hip pain. Anyone hear of that? He suggested having a diskogram done also to see which disc is bothering me the most. I do agree that his way does sound a lot easier.
