update for HTC magic from vodafone?

I have a vodafone branded HTC magic, and I saw it would get an update, but then it said the google- amd vodafone branded ( both google and vodafone on 1 phone) would not get an update, and I have that one -.-

can someone tell me it this is correct, or tell me if it will get an update.
