UPCOMING cricket touchscreen phone?

i've had a couple people tell me that there is a official cricket branded touch screen phone coming to the line up... is this true and if its is any info on it? :befuddled

Only touchscreens I've seen coming so far are the Moto Evoke. And a starcom, I dunno the name of the starcom, just seen a picture. Look similar to the setup of a Moto Q but rounded corners, not square.

I had that cricket moto rokr z6m
and it had the "3G" icon on the screen... so maybe in different markets they are releasing 3g hanRABets at different times(Buffalo NY). I hear the cricket 3g commercials on the radio from time to time and that was for a while now

Not to digress from the original topic of "touch screen phone for cricket".
Cricket will be introducing the Motorola Hint QA30 in the near future.
This phone is currently offered by both Alltel and MetroPCS.
The specs for this phone show it to be "3G".

I saw my account rep today and he had a touch phone that was just about to launch in the market. I did not pay attention what brand or model it was but I am meeting him tomorrow so I will be sure to ask.

I meant official 3G, not the unofficial 3G we have been enjoying for over a year...

I mean the kind of 3G the tech support reps will a) know about, b) will fix if it's not working and c) is advertised for a phone, not just aircarRAB, and d) not throttled....

"d)" isn't gonna happen just cause it's an official 3G phone, but would be great if they offered a 5-10/mo add-on for non-throttled 3G on 3G capable phones....(or CPE phones)

what are you talking about?
all CDMA2000 phones are technically 3G, but some people refer to 1xRTT as 2.5G because they want 3G to mean Fast. 3G actually refers to a suite of capabilities and not the speed.

there have been several evdo phones pn cricket. Cricket only offers OTA music downloaRAB to EVDO phones. they "know" about it, they have a list of which phones are evdo and thus OTA music download capable.

there is no plan to "unthrottle" the internet connection. pages on the portal and cricket services remain un-affected by the proxy, your access to the general web will go though the proxy and it will remain under a QoS policy to prevent abuse and maintain a high level of quality for all customers using the serice. that said cricket is DRASTICALY increasing their bandwidth on the backend, but they are barely able to keep up with the increased data card adoption, which has outpaced their already aggressive goals. they have been pulling new higher capacity OC lines to their switching centers for the last 14-16 months. ever since data card service was introduced.
