Unzip folder for brushes for Gimp?

I already asked this and I tried it but I need more help.

So I know I need to unzip the folder of my downloaded brushes....It doesn't say unzip so I guessed I had to extract the files.....well I did that and it said it worked. But when I go to my download folder those extracted files are still zipped. So I am very confused.

Also how do I get the new brushes on Gimp in the gimp brush area?

I did edit:Pref:Folders:Brushes:Clicked the boxes and ok...it didn't do anything.


So please tell me how to do it again or what I did wrong.

Please. I am dying to use my new brushes. lmfao even though I suck at picture make..thanks in advance
