Unusually customized road bike?

Hello people

I'm looking to get a road bike, something like a Carrera Virago or Vanquish or a Trek Madone (or similar).. However I'm not very fond of the thin race tyres and was wondering if i could fit mountain bike wheels with slick tyres instead (like the Maxxis Hookworm 2.5").

I also want to find a way of changing the brake system from a V caliper setup to a disc brake setup, or just finding a road bike with an existing disc brake setup. I know disc brakes have no real business on a road bike but i want to give it a try..

Maybe on another planet in another sector of the universe but NOT on earth! Aint gonna' happen. Nope. Unless you have it built and then what you will have ultimately is: A Mountain bike! Get real!

why buy a Ferrari and put mud tires on it with truck brakes?
Seems like a waist of money.

Sounds like you are looking for a hybrid not a road bike.
