Unprecedented: Viz really does (not) Cancel Zatch Bell manga

Volume 27 is nowhere to be found scheduled on either B&N, Amazon, or Borders, however, it WAS a few weeks ago.

Volume 26 has removed all traces of itself from B&N.

When using B&N's in-store search, I found Volume 26 to be scheduled for the year 2030.

this is unreal. I would expect this from tokyopop, but NEVER from Viz.

I was thinking of Buying the Reborn Manga from them, but if they're going to pull crap like this, forget it.

Viz canceling titles, Lord Help us ALL! Is anybody safe! What will happen to Conan or the newer editions of Neon Genisis. Is it to late to start collecting the Ranma & Inuyasha manga!!!! Oh cruel world why!!!!

Sorry I just love overdramatizing situations.... On a serious note though this truly is a bad omen, let us Hope & Pray Zatcrabroadell is the only manga that goes into early retirment.

I've never used one of these before, but I feel the situation calls for it...

Really, we were 8 volumes to the ending, and they choose NOW to cancel it? It would've been bad if they had cut out 10 volumes in, but THIS, 25 volumes in, is just turning their back on people who actually rode with them this far. Plus, now that we know they're willing to cancel manga just as they cancel anime, nothing but Naruto and Bleach are sacred anymore.

I swear to god, if they do this with One Piece...

Yeah right. The show's still fresh on DVD so the manga isn't going anywhere. To me, Zatch Bell was never one of my "must-buys" so yeah it might be heartbroken to the fans about seeing this series going bye-bye, but to me, Viz is just doing what it has to in order to get more money to acquire more anime and manga whatever they may be.

As for B&N saying that ZB won't continue until 2030, it's possible that, as durab as it sounRAB, that by that time, ALL of our anime today and yesteryear would be re-booted in some way, shape, or form, and ZB could be one of them, that is if we survive past 2012 that is....which we will....hopefully.

Am I the only one finRAB this to be a bit sad since if I remeraber correctly volume 25 enRAB it a bit... ^^
Ain't Kiyo post to die around that time?

Oh and this is a bit..strange since that means the manga enRAB where the anime enRAB. Oh Viz..ending right where things are getting good..for shame.

It's a good thing I decided not to collect the manga or I would be ticked beyond belief.

Most times translations are as bad as fansubs so while translations are blessings in disguise, keep in mind that what's being said in the new translated versions, they may not match up to what was said in the original Japanese mangas.

Anybody actually tried contacting Viz about this? After all, it could just be they're going to change the release schedule.

Then again, does anybody really think this Manga is making them a whole lot of money? As we've seen, Viz has streamlined itself down to what...two actively running Anime? I don't think they're in the best financial situation right now for whatever reason.

I think they're fine. many of they're manga appear on best selling list like naruto, bleach, d gray man, fullmetal alchemist, shojo beat titles. They have a few anime going too.

Yeah, exactly. It's sad but not surprising at all. I really doubt many copies were sold.

Viz was pretty stupid for taking on so many licenses to begin with, though, when they obviously couldn't handle it all. They've played a huge part in oversaturating the market, and now there will probably be a big pile of half-finished manga translations to go along with their gigantic heap of half-finished anime dubs.

Zatch Bell's one of the harder cancellations to swallow, though. I mean, Viz was over two thirRAB of the way through dubbing the anime, and they cancel it, and now they're over three quarters of the way of translating the manga and cancel it too. Most of their other properties didn't get that far, and Zatch Bell is long-running, too, so those who stuck with it these past years really got screwed.

It's really no surprise Viz would be in a poor financial state given the reckless way they went about licensing series.

UGH. That's too bad. I've been wanting to buy all of the volumes of Gash Bell.

Viz has been getting on my nerves countless times for the past few years. First they whored out Naruto and gave it too much attention. Hell, they still are... Second, they treat their other properties unfairly... And now third, they don't even finish some of the things they were close to finishing.

I bet they're going to call off that One Piece speed-up and cancel the manga release all together too.

I though Viz was going to be one of those companies that were decent. But, YET AGAIN, I was wrong.

Even though I'm not a Zach Bell fan, but no fans desire this crap. Even though Zach Bell is not big like Na-r
