OK, this is just curiosity on my part, but I'd like to know what other people think. When you got married (or if you're planning a wedding, when you get married) did you or will you have the minister or JOP pronounce you "husband and wife" or "man and wife"?
Personally, I'm going for "husband" ... I figure he was a man before we got married and he'll be a man and a husband after. If my status changes, so should his, right? I guess "man and wife" seems more old-fashioned, like it's a patriarchal, ownership type of thing.
Your thoughts?
Thanks in advance for answering.
Please also give me details if you don't mind. Why did you choose one over the other? Did anyone have family or the officiant pressure you to do it?
