I'm fourteen years old and because it's almost summer, I want to dye my bangs and/or streaks pink, red, or a bright purple. I've never dyed my hair before and my mother is dead-set against bleaching it. It's fairly thick and I really don't want to damage it too severely. I've used the temporary Manic Panic Infrared and Cotton Candy Pink (this was only because a friend had bought it and gave it to me to try as they didn't like it.) I'm looking for something drastic and only semi-permanent, however permanent would be alright if that's all there is. I've Googled for almost two months on this and have decided to finally just give it a try and hope some miracle person might have the solution product 
Please don't answer if you don't know the answer or are just telling me to get it bleached, even if it's the only solution you can think of.

I forgot to mention that the hair's a dark brown (unfortunately). Thanks for all of the answers I've gotten so far... Perhaps I'll persuade my mom on this one.
