unlocking motorola

when you put a sim card from a non nextel in the phone it tells me to enter a special code. what im trying to figure out is what the code is.

I am still pretty sure that what you are trying to do is not possible, no matter what code you could put in, nextel uses a completely different network that any of the other providers so it could not work for any service other than nextel or boost.

you are not understanding me, nextel uses a network that is not compatiable with any other service that is why they are behind on the technology of their phones. when motorola makes a phone for any other carrier it is fairly interchangable so they have a bunch of companies paying them to develope a phone, when they make one for nextel it is only for nextel and no other carrier. if you look at that site it does not say anything about nextel phones. I will state again nextel uses IDEN all other carriers use either TDMA or GSM. these are very different technologies and are not interchangable. I hope this clears things up for you.

depends on what hes tryin to do

if hes tryin to use it with sounthernlinc, or telus, then yes, its possible

but if hes tryin to use it with something like cingular or tmobile, no you cant do that

different technologies and for one thing i dunno why you would wanna use a big bulky nextel phone with any other providor
:confused2

is there just a code to put in like when you put a diffrent sim card in it says please enter speciel code?

Yes. Every individual phone has an unique network unlock code. You can get the unique unlock code for a cell phone either from the respective network provider or from any trusted vendor online lik
