Unlocked Palm Treo Pro use on Verizon?

Unfortunately, the current Treo Pro uses a different and incompatible technology from VZW, so it won't work. I also thought it was sold unlocked? As far as I know, the only CDMA Treo Pro is the upcoming one for Sprint; that is, unless, of course, you have a Treo Pro that I have never hear of, which is quite possible.

Verizon Wireless uses CDMA technology. They use it along with Sprint, Metro PCS, Alltel, US Cellular, and many other carriers. It is the primary United States technology.
"Unlocked Phones" are usually GSM, since CDMA devices can (but really can't) be unlocked. CDMA devices are never "locked". It is simply up to that wireless carrier if they want to activate the other CDMA device for you. For example, Verizon Wireless will activate a Sprint or Alltel phone...but Sprint or Alltel will not activate a Verizon phone or any other CDMA phone from another carrier. GSM uses a SIM card, while CDMA (like Verizon) does not.
They are not compatible.

01) Can I take my Alltel cell (Treo Pro EVDO, HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM radio, Tri-band UMTS — 850MHz, 1900MHz, 2100MHz, Quad-band GSM — 850/900/1800/1900 ) and bring it to another Country where there is a CDMA carrier, that carrier can activate (if he wants) my cell, and it will works normally in that Country?
02) If I do the same with a Treo Pro Sprint (CDMA) it will work appropriately in that Country too?

It's that they aren't locked but the wireless carriers are very picky. For example, Sprint PCS WILL NOT activate a wireless device that doesn't carry the Sprint logo. Alltel WILL NOT activate another carrier's device either.
Verizon Wireless WILL ALWAYS activate another CDMA carrier's device as long as it is E911 GPS enabled. Not all of the features may work; however.
So, I cannot speak for the carriers in other countries. They may have different ethics which I am not familiar with. They may not be able to activate a U.S. phone at all...even if they wanted to...I would assume. Even though CDMA is CDMA no matter where you go, the technology in the phone (i.e. GPS, E911) may be different.
