Unlocked Aircard Question and Blackberry Unlimited?

Hey all, I just came across an unlocked Siera Aircard. If I took my SIM out of my blackberry, does anyone know if I would be charged data? or is my only option to Tether?
 
it would count as your data but if you have AT&T they will reconise the increase in data usage tell you not to do it and if you still do they will shut your data off for 6 months as it is a violation of the T's & C's of a non-tethering plan. (I used to work in their Customer Care and have seen it happen before)
