Unlock my iPhone so I am able to use my T mobile SIM card?

I recently got an iPhone and want to put my tmobile sim card in it, the only problem is, once i downloaded Cydia, I am not sure how to utilize cydia so my iPhone can work like a normal phone.

What process do I need to undergo in order to make it work like a phone once I have downloaded cydia?!
