UNLOCK MOTOROLA MILESTONE?

i recently bought a locked motorola milestone at an auction. I think it was a telus phone. I have a plan with rogers, and when i put the sim card in the milestone, it says i need a network code, i called telus and they won't give me the code, i called rogers, and they said i have to look on the internet, i found a site, gavei t my credit card number, and it turns out it was a scam. I was thinking there might be a store somewhere in nova scotia (where i live) that would be able to unlock it, i would prefer to stay away from online offers. if you don't know of any stores, are there any websites that you know are reliable? thanks a lot,
