unlock iphone 4 with ios4.1?

so i think i have been abit silly i brought an iphone 4 from t mobile pay and go and as soon as i got it i updated it to 4.1 thinking that is is the same as 4.01 but then i relised that it wasnt. so my question is can i downgrade again and if i take it to an unlock shop can they unlock it for me?
