unlock 3.1.3 firmware on iphone?

New member
just bought an iphone from my friend. not with AT&T service because of the ridiculous plans. basically i need to know how to unlock the iphone on 3.1.3 firmware to use on another carrier. I've had and unlocked an iphone before with blackra1n. I'm looking for an unlock that is free and easy to use similar to blackra1n. and please no answers that say that it's wrong or illegal to unlock iphones, i don't wanna hear that.
