University vs. Community college?

I am going to be attending college soon. I wanted to start out at a community college first to become an LPN. Then I wanted to transfer to a University later and become a nurse practitioner. But my question is if I go to college at the community college first to become an LPN do you think I would still be just as eligible and still get paid just as much as an LPN that graduated from a University? Both types of colleges give the same certification. I was just wondering if a job would be unbiased about whether I graduated from a technical college or a University. Thank you.
