I am in a collegiate high school (taking all dual enrollment classes), model, pre -professional ballet dancer. I am fairly bright (30 ACT) but my GPA is not up to par..cumulative GPA=3.5 with this past semester consisting of straight B's and one C (AHH!). I'm smart but I don't know how to express this to schools who will dismiss me due to my transcript. I live in Florida and really want to go to school in NYC. I was just accepted into FSU but dream of going to a school along the likes of Columbia, NYU. I want to major in Business- marketing/advertising and public relations. I want to work in the fashion industry as well.
A little about me...I am the founder/president of the fashion club (in which i started the annual collegiate prom fashion show and also run several different charity fundraisers), NHS member, Interact Club member, ballet dancer (20+ hrs/week, have received scholarships), volunteer at local animal shelter (85 hrs to date).
My question is...what schools should I apply to? How can I make myself more appealing to high caliber schools such as NYU/Columbia?
