If I wanted to transfer there to do astronomy is it a good school to pick? I'm on the east coast and the two top schools closest to me that offer Astronomy are expensive. Let's just say [according to CollegeBoard.com] Uni of Washington's out of state tuition is LESS than half the price of Uni of Richmond's in state!
Is it because of Seattle's standard of living? Would it actually even out or be more expensive?? because I have not factored in the standard of living being extremely higher there yet.
I will obviously look into more closer schools also but I was just wondering about this first. Is UofWa a good college to learn Astronomy from? Is it well respected and have good quality? It appears cheaper, however UofRichmond is the college of Leland Melvin, who is now actually a active NASA astronaut.
Can someone clear this up for me thanks.
