So, I've heard that it's easier to get into the nursing program at Austin, if you're a transfer student? how so? Is it because the requirements are different than when you're coming straight out of high school, & that they don't require GPA? I really want to go to school there & I'm working my way up my senior year. It's really hard. but I'm in college courses, && AP Calculus and all other honors courses. I'm very involved & do a lot with community service and i'm in my CNA class, so i intern at the hospital. & I've been told my essays are really good. but the SAT is my main worry. i have test-phobia or something & i managed a 1600 on my PSAT.
( but i'm determined to get into this school! so, would it be easier if i applied & did the CAP program (what is that exactly? & how many hours are required before transferring) and is it true that it's easier to get into the nursing program as a transfer? i know a girl who just got into UT's nursing program & she wasn't in the top eight or ten percent? maybe top 25, but i do know that she transferred...(oh, i'm 27 out of 200 btw)
