...colleges? i'm a sophomore in high school, but have been looking into colleges in the bay area. my statistics are not nearly up to berkeley or stanferd level, and have been looking into usf and sfsu, but i have a couple of questions.
i know that university of san francisco is a jesuit college, but what does this really mean? do we have to take religious classes? is it a conservative or liberal school? is it diverse? also, is it more in the residential area of sf? how far from the city?
i know that usf is a private school and is a lot of money, and i was wondering if i don't get in there or if i can't go there, should i just go to community college first and then transfer to another school? ..or just go to san francisco state university? i live in southern california, where there are already cal states close by. is there a big difference between san francisco state university and calstate la or cal state fullerton? because i heard sfsu is a commuter campus, but i really want to go to college in the bay area. is it unnatural or unecessary to go alll the way to sf to attend a cal state? do a lot of people live on campus?
also, i'm interested in the nursing program and maybe psychology. are these good schools for my interests?
and if there are any colleges for a good, liberal, diverse college in the bay area with a good nursing program, i'd really appreciate your recommendations. if not in the bay area, perhaps any other urban/large city area too, except LA. preferably a city similar to sf or ny would be nice.
