I hope this doesn't confuse you like it did me.
The experimental procedure for my prac states:
"Solid hydrated metal(II) acetate (0.01 mol) is added to a stirred solution of the ligand (0.01 mol) in methanol (20 cm3)."
"You are required to use either nickel acetate tetrahydrate OR copper acetate monohydrate."
What weights are required to prepare the copper complex?
A) Ligand: 2.22g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 2.00g
B) Ligand: 2.24g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 2.00g
C) Ligand: 2.24g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 1.82g
D) Ligand: 2.22g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 1.82g
Also...
What weights are required to prepare the nikel complex?
A) Ligand: 2.22g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 1.77g
B) Ligand: 2.24g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 2.49g
C) Ligand: 2.24g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 1.77g
D) Ligand: 2.22g, Hydrated Metal(II) Acetate: 2.49g
Please help me if you can.
Thanks.
