Well I have an interview for the university I want to go into, but since it is a nusing course (in particular MHnursing) I have to be screened by OT's. This involves looking at both my mental and physical health.
Physically I am fine...but mentally I have had a few problems.
If they look into my health records they will see that I self harm, have had suicidal tendancies and have been voluntarly admitted into a Psychiatric ward.
I am in a much better place now, although I do still self harm and have severe depression. But I am recieving counselling now and I am no longer a risk to myself.
But the fact remains that these things are still in my past
and obviously I need to work hard to try and recover from self harm.
But can these things be a major detriminte to my chances?
I am 17 btw, from Scotland
