Hi, I have a couple of questions about the map of the US.
1. First, between what lines of latitude and longitude lay the 48 contiguous states of the United Sates?
2. The primary movement of settlement and development in American history has been from East to West. What natural obstacles have Americans encountered in that movement? Provide specific names.
3. What significant physiographic differentiation occurs near 105 W longitude? What influence do you think this differentiation had on settlement patters?
4. What region of states appears to have their borders defined by natural features and which by land survey lines? What do you think accounts for this difference?
5. And lastly, where is the Atlantic Plain? I can't seem to find it on any maps.
