Unique pets that survive completely underwater for college dorm?

I'm in college and I really want to have a pet. The dorm rules state that your pet must survive completely underwater. I don't want just a boring goldfish or betta, though. Are there any pets that are a little more "unique" than a common fish? A turtle would be cool if it didn't need to leave the water at all. Or perhaps a more exotic fish? As long as its not too hard to care for (managing a saltwater tank would be too demanding to care for at this point).
