My friend has been suffering with the following symptoms:

very tired,
anemic,
irratic tempurature,
unrinating more often,
itchy skin,
red blemishes,
what looks like a bruise on the veins of her right wrist raised and is disappearing after a few hours,
horizontal and vertical ridges on nails and they are curving up,
lack of libido,
aching,
no muscle strength.

She has had several blood tests and the doctors have no idea what it is. she is 41 and has had the menopause ruled out.

Can anyone help us please? I am worried about her :)

It may help more if we know when this started, what type of doc she went to, the tests that were taken, how anemic she is, and if the doc prescribed iron pills for her or just told her to go get some. My suggestion, without knowing yet if she already saw one, would be for her to insist on being referred to a specialist.

lileanne: Have her checked for diabetes. The symptoms of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) are: Extreme thirst, frequent urination, dry skin, hunger, blurred vision, drowsiness, nausea. The symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) are: shaking, fast heartbeat, sweating, anxious, dizziness, hunger, impaired vision, weakness/fatigue, headaches, irritability. High blood sugars can lead to a diabetic coma. In type 2 diabetes the body makes insulin but doesn't use it correctly to allow the food you eat to be used for energy and medication is given to help the body use it.
