I'd appreciate any advice.
My natural hair is medium/dark blonde. I tried to lighten my hair with light blonde colours (various brands) but the result was awful, not actually lightening in any way and turning darker. I ended up using a pre-lightener then putting a light blonde colour on top. The pre-lightener result was quite nice, very very blonde, but to tone it down I used a blonde afterwards which turned a browny green colour, so I put another pre-lightener kit on.
How do I get back to medium blonde? I'm using pre-lightening kits every 3 weeks to cover very dark roots as the blonde is extremely light and have got myself in a bit of a corner. :-( I don't want this unnatural look.
Sorry, new to this board and not sure how to add a reply. Wanted to thank you for the low-light suggestions, it makes sense. Is it as simple as using a cap with a permanent darker shade kit or does it need to be a specific lowlight product?
