underground rap songs...

they're not really underground anymore but have you checked out Hieroglyphics, Blackstar, Talib Kweli, Common, Hi-Tek, etc

i still love pharcyde for lyrics and beats but they're old now

i listen to a lot of thr rhymesayers crew's older stuff

one of their best emcees if you are looking for some seep lyrics is a guy named Atmosphere. fuckin incredible stuff.

heiroglyphics are probably my most favorite boderline mainstream underground
dialted peoples, jurassic 5 and the alkaholis are up there in the borderline mainstream category but still put out good conscious lyris witha posiitive attitude.

MF Doom gets down to some grimey underground hip hop
Check out Immotal Technique and Dead Prez for the same kinda sound

my favorite emcee of all time has to be Aesop Rock. his delivery and rhyme patterns are so abstract its beautiful. he takes a little while to get used to but the creativity to me makes his shit very intriguing

check out some tunes that my crew has been working on

i just saw a Sage Francis show in Minneapolis @ the First Avenue Ballroom on the 17th.... amazing show... Sage doesnt look anything like what he sounRAB like.

Slug (from Atmosphere) did a set (like 8 songs) which really made my night because im new to Sage but came to love underground hip hop with Slug and his old shit.

some good tracks from slug:
bodypillow
woman with the tattooed hanRAB
shrapnel

...or anything off of the Overcast! album
