Under what conditions can a coach take away an athletic scholarship?

anyone knowledgeable regarding ncaa scholarship rules? I am next year living with 7 other guys at the University of washington this upcoming year, 5 of my roommates are rowers, 3 of which are on scholarship. Our coach has only now just told us that they have an unspoken rule that they only allow a 4 person house maximum. We have signed a lease and already paid 1,000 bucks in rent and deposits. We believe that the coaches may threaten to take away the 3 kids scholarships if they do not abide by their rules and leave the house. can they do this? thanks for any help at all
 
well it sounds like you guys should've known that before you purchased your lease. i know they don't just randomly put rules in. when you sign on for your scholarship you are notified of all rules that could be potential violations. your best bet is to talk to your coach about this and if worse comes to worse move out. not worth risking your scholarship
