unable to upgrade me45 firmware

I tried with freia "all new siemens" and doesn't work, v_klay says wait to turn mobile on.
also tried with me45 flasher but says
"Cant connect to Mobile with BootstrapLoader on Com 1"
I have an original siemens rs-232 cable, running windows xp (but I could eventually use windows 98)
How do I have to set the com port? Rts? DTR? Autoignition?
I tried to press red button in all flashing programs but doesn't happen anything...
Please I got every program possible but noone seems to be seeing my phone someway....(cable works with siemens data suite)...

problem is in the cable, it should be NOT original or original modded.

Anyway, to upgrade me45 firmware you don't need freia or V-Klay, you need ME45 updatetool (usable also with original cable) or winswup (usable only with not original or modded cable)
