A vehicle used by Syria chemical weapons experts was shot at Monday by snipers, the United Nations says.
There were no reported injuries.
Martin Nesirky, spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, says the shooting took place in the buffer zone area between rebel- and government-controlled territory.
The team is replacing the vehicle and will return to the area, he said, according to the Associated Press.
Syria agreed Sunday to allow a United Nations investigation into the alleged chemical weapons attack last week in the suburbs of Damascus that killed hundreds. The White House official said the offer comes too late.
