I'm a UK teacher and I wondered about the rules on Swiss Army Knives.
I found sites like this:

Under "What is legal":- it says that S.A.K.'s are legal if the blade is less than 3 inches.
Under "Schools":- it says that a zero tolerance policy on the possession of weapons, including knives are in schools.
What is the over lap, can high school children carry Swiss Army Knives for projects, and not in any way an aggressive way.
