I was made redundant on the 1st June 2009 with no notice at all. I had been working for the company since 18th September 2008. I am owed 1 month's pay (1st May to 1st June). The company sent me a p45 last week with a leaving date on it of 25th May 2009 for some reason but still no pay for the month owed. I have lodged a tribunal but have since found out that the company has closed.
Does anybody have any advice how I could get the wages I am owed?
I am also being chased by university for fees for a course that this company sent me on. The company signed a letter and sent it to the uni stating they would pay the fees (£3000) but the uni is now saying I am liable as the company has not paid. Please help, I don't know what way to turn and I simply cannot afford to pay these fees, especially when I didn't want to do the course in the first place!
