to address your remote in SAT mote, go to the System information screen, at the bottom of the screen it will say "remote address" and a number.
press the SAT button at the top of your remote, and hold it until all the mode backlights turn on, once they do, let go. The sat button should continue blinking for a few seconds.
Enter a number from 1-16 (not the one that is listed on the screen, for convenience purposes) the sat button should blink 3 more times. Then hit the pound sign, and then hit record 3 or 4 times.
the number on the screen should change to the number you entered if done correctly, and then your remote should work with your receiver.

I also have purchased a new UHF PRO remote, but I have a 6100...I cannot get my remote to program with this strategy, are the instructions different for my receiver? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Go to the System Info screen, by pulling out the smart card.
Here you will see the remote address.
If the address is 1, do the following;
Press the SAT button at the top of your remote, and hold it until all the mode backlights turn on, once they do, let go. The sat button should continue blinking.
Press 01, then the # key.
This will change the Remote to match what you see on the Screen.

There are a number of versions of UHF PRO remotes, some have a switch inside the left side of the battery compartment, using a straightened paper clip, move the toggle Switch to the other frequency setting. Then verify your remote address.
The 6100 is capable of receiving UHF PRO and IR, but the UHF PRO remotes only send out an UHF PRO signal in SAT mode.

If the above suggestions don't help, let us know what remote version you have, 8.0 or 6.3, etc. It is on the back label of the Remote.

My remote is a 8.0 but in another post Pinza pointed out I may not have my antenna in the correct place, a good explanation as to why my old and new remotes wont work...any ideas on where to get another antenna would be appreciated!!

Just use a piece of Coax cable for now.

For the BEV 6100 the remote can be married to the receiver in 2 ways. You change the code of the receiver, or you change tthe remote code. If you already have remotes set up on "Remote Address: 1" then follow the second procedure.
The remote you need is the 8.0 UHF PRO. It will say this on the back top label. It doesn't matter if it is a Dish Network or Bell remote as they are the same.
First you will need to see what is set up on the System Info page.
Menu If you have a working remote press Menu then 6-1-3

You will see the remote address in the bottom left of the screen. That is what any working remote will be set to.
First Procedure new remote only (or if you want to change address code) From this screen (System Info)
PRESS SAT button to make sure it is Sat mode.
Press RECORD button and it should change the Remote Address.
Your done.
Second Procedure Change remote code to match receiver Remote Address.
PRESS AND HOLD SAT BUTTON for about 2-3 seconds until remote modes blink
PRESS NUMBER corresponding to the Remote Address on the screen
PRESS # The SAT button will flash 3 times to indicate a stored code.
Your finished and all remotes should work fine!

This is the same procedure for both the BELL and DISH 8.0 UHF PRO remotes.
