What happened to all those people who wanted to let GM go bankrupt before? Will anyone admit they were right and it was a stupid waste of taxpayer money, that a bankrupt corporation won't have to repay? Why didn't they just buy and distribute brand new cars to taxpayers instead of this more expensive, less productive "stimulus"? Does Washington think If this doesn't inspire confidence in the markets, then dictating who can run corporations in this country certainly should? The bailouts were a mistake, they should have let them all go bankrupt, shake out the survivors and claw their way back without selling future generations of Americans into indentured servitude. That bailout money was just a payback to unions and foreign investors.
