Uh... Unhitched? What happene to American Dad?

What Up!

I just saw a commercial promoting some new show on Fox this Sunday after Family Guy called Unhitched. What the heck? They advertised two weeks ago for a new American Dad, what is the deal? Are they running out of episodes from the writer's strike?

FOX does this from time to time. They'll air a single episode of a new sitcom in the 9:30 Sunday slot to better promote it.

American Dad'll be back next week, I guarantee it.

You might want to actually look at the schedule then. American Dad only had 22 episodes for the season, and they have aired all 22 episodes. Unhitched is taking the 9:30 spot. American Dad, might start to show reruns, but it will move before Family Guy if it does so.

Fox burned through AD's entire season already? Jeez.

Oh, well, at least we have the Smith's back on Adult Swim, so you can still get your AD fix until Unhitched is inevitably canceled.

Uh... they've aired twelve. Eleven, if you don't count the holdover from the previous season. And "Red October Sky" was scheduled for last Sunday, so there's still a bunch of completely produced episodes left.

This isn't really anything new. FOX has always pre-empted American Dad in March for the past two years to premiere some new sitcom, but the show always returns in April. This year is no different.

YOU might want to check the episode count again, they've only aired half of AD's season. So please don't tell me to "actually look at the schedule".

AD is going to be back by April in it's 9:30 slot, I 100% guarantee.

Is Unhitched that show where the ad shows a man licking ranch sauce off of his baby's head? That commercial seriously grosses me out. I mean, I love ranch sauce, but licking it on a baby's head is just disgusting. I mean, just imagine your tongue going over all those little hairs. Eeeeeeeuuuuch!

And who wants to bet the stupid sitcom in its place will last 3 episodes? Remember that Airline one? They don't even leave an imporession. Seems they want to give AD some sort of shaft, though.

American Dad and Family Guy work just like The Simpsons. Multiple episodes of their season order get delayed or Fox decides to air the next season.

For example, the newest Family Guy episode "Back to Woods" was the first episode of the season 6 cycle, although Season 6 is airing right now. The intended season finallie of Season 5 was "Lois Kills Stewie" (And the second part would've been the season premire, ala "Who Shot Mr.Burns"). Also, Blue Harvest was intended to air in May (Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, though it was probably delayed because they xtedned the ep to an hour).

Plus American Dad still has episodes left on its season order (according to wiki at least)

What did you expect from the Farrelly Brothers? Sophisticated humor?

I don't like them either; the moment I saw their name attached I vowed not to watch.
