Energy crisis is postponed as new gas rescues the world

Engineers have performed their magic once again. The world is not going to run short of energy as soon as feared.

Tony Hayward, BP's chief executive, said proven natural gas reserves around the world have risen to 1.2 trillion barrels of oil equivalent, enough for 60 years' supply – and rising fast.

"There has been a revolution in the gas fields of North America. Reserve estimates are rising sharply as technology unlocks unconventional resources," he said.

NOW can we have a rational discussion about energy use without the libs pitching a Chicken Little fit about the "energy sky is falling!!!!"? Unlikely, because they need a crisis to pass their loony left agenda.

Who said the crisis was about running out of fuel? Natural gas is still a fossil fuel and it still pollutes. Moreover, we aren't equipped to use natural gas in the same capacity as gasoline. We would have to replace all the car engines, etc. to be able to run on natural gas. Why not just convert everything to a renewable source as soon as possible?

Only the "Global Disaster" Libs. There are actually some that won't panic and do all in their power to stop the world from using what has been discovered.
