UFO or star flashing red and blue in the sky!? please answer?

oh and also it was there for a very long time i dont know how long but i was getting tired..so i went home

but after 2 hours i came out side and it had moved atleast 2 miles away? so what would you say this is a ufo? or a star

im still confused. should have bough a camera to record it
hey guys! i was just taking a short walk and i saw a really bright star in the sky it caught my attention by mistake i actually had to turn around for nothing (lol) but anyways..

i was watching this star or what ever it was.. for 5min straight with out moving my body.. then after 5min it start to have tiny flashes of red and blue light

and i power walked all the way to my house to get my high quality binoculars and i looked at the star thing or what ever it is anyways i looked at up close and it appeared as a triangle?

can someone explain to me what this is.. could this be a ufo??
 
First of all you have to say what time this happened and what direction it was in. However if it was near the horizon most likely the air was unstable which would cause the star or planet to appear to turn various colors and to even slightly move. FYI if it was low in the east before sunrise, most likely it was Venus. That planet is responsible for many UFO reports.

Or maybe aliens are coming to invade earth and you were the first one to discover it..
