UC/CSU lab science a-g requirement is not met! The best path to take?

Junior year I failed AP Chem 1st semester with what is considered an F at my school. I withdrew and took regular Chemistry second semester, and got an A. My freshman and sophomore year I took biology and AP Bio. However, this does not fulfill the Lab science (d)1 year of biological and 1 year of physical science, since I only have one semester of the physical science (chem).
The first semester for my school is almost here (the quarter has passed).
There are a number of paths I can take but I am not sure which one/how to let CSUs know.

1. Should I take Physics or Chem next semester? Would it look bad/be unaccepted if it's one semester Chem and one semester Physics? They're both physical sciences. But it's not a full year of one of them. I'd really rather not take another second semester of Chem again.
2. The site says that a score of around 550 or more on the Chem SAT will count as a full year . I can put that on my UC App for to be taken in Dec, but I'm not sure how to let CSUs know on the online application? (it says on their website that they also accept it, but there is no option for it on the online application)
3. I plan to try and do both, just in case I don't end up with the passing Chem score or I fail the second semester.

What should I do/how should I go about doing this?
Any other options would also be helpful, other than going to a community college then transferring. I need to be able to attend Fall 2011.
Thank you!
