I have a U700V which i have unlocked with code. It will make and recieve calls on Vodafone but on Orange it shows limited service with a red line through the phone symbol at the top of the screen.

IMIE unchanged still original

Tried a few different flash files but alwways the same.

Any ideas welcome.

Well if phone imie is not damaged so it blacklisted by ur GSM Operator...Solution is to change imie but its illegal in most of countries and i dont really know if is possible to change imei to this phone

Hi there

Phone is not blacklisted as it works fine on Vodafone and i also managed to make one call late last night on Orange so i am sure it is not barred. I am sure it can not be hardware as it is a replacement phone my customer got from Vodafone under warranty but he wanteded it unlocked for Orange.

Could it be the sim card at fault??????

Cheers

Thanks you guys for advice.

The IMEI is good as i have tried it on another Samsung and everythink works fine. I have also tried to write the U700 imei unlock patch but the phone hangs on start up.

Cheers

2. Connect the USB cable to your computer and install the USB drivers, unless the are already installed.

HOPPE THIS WILL HELP YOU ALL:

Your device works on GSM 900/1800 and 1900 frequencies and HSDPA 2100. if change imei or make softwares change it wont help, has the ability to work on GSM 900/1800 (same as your phone) and HSDPA 2100/850/900. If your carrier has enhanced their network so that they are expanding their HSDPA (3G) footprint to include 850 and 900 on HSDPA, then your phone would no longer be able to access the network. I live in Brazil, and in my town only one network operator works with this phone. My advice would be to check with your carrier and ask them what frequencies they use for 3G in your area, or change your number to other network operator or even sell your phone and buy another. If they say 850 or 900, then that is your problem - your phone is not capable of transmitting via this frequency. If this is not the issue, then I would suggest that your phone's radio antenna may be damaged and that is which it is not able to access the network properly anymore. More than likely, it is the enhancement of the network. Most reps that you would get on the phone when you call probably would not know about this or understand the implications and that's why they didn't know to look into this for you. Let me know. Thanks Fank.
