U.S Army Rangers at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir?

I heard something about the Army Rangers saving the Marines at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir is this true because a friend of mine told me this and he told me that alot of marines think higher of themselves than the Army but when it comes to Rangers they don't because of this battle?No offence to any branch of the Military i respect all and im joining the U.S Army hoping to qualify for becoming a Ranger even though i know it will be very difficult.
